Dinner at the Tower Restaurant
We had dinner in a revolving restaurant high above Sydney last night. A great way to catch up with Roger and Lucy who are in Sydney for the weekend. Food was excellent and the views were stunning (but not photgrphic due to the constant movement!).

Blue Moon over Sydney
I discovered what a Blue Moon is today thanks to us getting one in Sydney this evening.
According to the popular definition, a Blue Moon is the second Full Moon to occur in a single calendar month.
According to my friend Google, there will be 41 months that have two Full Moons in every century, so you could say that once in a Blue Moon actually means once every two-and-a-half years...
...which is not often, hence the popular saying "Once in a Blue moon."
You learn something every day!

Sunday Swim
The sun came out on Sunday after 4 days of battering winds and rain. What better way to celebrate than with a swim. My new sun tinted goggles are a win.

Love is when...
...you receive a rather unflattering portrait of yourself (drawn by your grandson - i.e. me!) that looks like the one below...

... and you keep it for 28 years!
.
Thanks "Grompa", you're the best!!!

You know you have lived in one city too many when...
...in your attempt to return home from work, you ask the ticket-master for a train ticket to North London ... and then wonder why he looks a tad confused.
Then the penny drops, "You mean North Sydney, don't you?"
"Ah, yes, that would help." I reply.
"Window seat or aisle?" he asks.
Smart Alec!

Eva's Little Book
We popped off to Eva and Brendan tonight for a chat and delicious home baked Chelsea Buns. Yum.
Eva recently did a drawing and pastel course and created some fantastic pieces of art. See below for an example. Beautiful. She is very talented.
.
For more examples, see Eva's Little Book - her blog of Sydney life. Good to see they are enjoying Sydney as much as us.
