Walk to Eagle Rock with a swim on the way

A lovely walk along part of the Coastal Track in the Royal National Park with Srini and Gavin. We stopped for a wonderful swim at a waterfall and ended up at Eagle Rock which always creates great photographs.

Royal National Park Figure of Eight Pools in the Royal National Park

This is one of my favourite parts of the Royal National Park. Lovely to be out with the boys again.

Royal National Park (Garie Beach to Eagle Rock)

A wonderful walk from  Garie Beach to Eagle Rock with Srini and Gavin.  We chose this gentle but beautiful walk to give Srini's sprained foot a bit of a rest.

Highlights included...

  • In the car, excitingly anticipating our Arctic trip in July.
  • The rivers were pumping after the rain so the waterfalls off the sea cliffs were the most impressive I've ever seen on this walk.
  • Practicing macro photography with mushrooms and flowers. The iPhone 13 macro functionality is the bomb!
  • Gavin doing amazing Richard Attenborough type video lessons on precipitation, waterfalls and erosion - just spontaneously off the cuff.
  • Trying to dam a little stream at the beach.  The water won the battle!
  • An invigorating swim to end our hike and some handstands on the beach.
  • A delicious prawn wrap at "Eat Grk" on the way home.
