Quiz at the Dog Museum

A fun evening. At the end of the first half of the quiz, we were in the bottom half. Then in the second half, we catapulted ourselves to second. Very exciting! Mary-Anne excelled in putt putt, getting her ball through the tiny mouth of a cardboard dog in one go.  Food options were rather limited (cheese toasties or cheese toasties) but we all enjoyed the dog sculptured chocolates Mary-Anne won for her triumphant putt!

Mary-Anne's sublime art

Mary-Anne has suddenly become  a prolific and sublime artist. It's incredible how much stunning work has flowed through her in just months. Her art fills me with nostalgia and appreciation for the beauty of South Africa.  I feel very inspired and proud to know her.

Her work is available from Etsy.

Visiting Mary-Anne in Kleinmond

Kleinmond is special to me as, apart from being beautiful, it is where I met Ally on New Year's eve 1992. It's full of nostalgia.

The highlight of our two days here was two sublime swims in the Palmiet River and one very invigorating, chilly swim in the ocean.  It was also wonderful to get to know Mary-Anne's beautiful dog, Mitch.
