Anzac day paddle (and trying out Honu!)

I went for a wonderful, soul restoring kayak this morning on the harbour.  Keeping up with Dani and co in their lighter, more streamlined outriggers was hard work (well impossible actually), but it was an amazingly clear, crisp, still morning and everyone was very patient with my slow progress across the bay from Clontarf  to Manly and back.  I then got to try out Honu (Dani's outrigger) myself - what a beauty she is and how effortlessly she glides across the water.  Not quite as stable as a kayak though, as I discovered the hard way when Honu (meaning Turtle in Hawaiian) cheekily dumped me.  Oh well, getting wet is what it's all about!

Clontarf beach with Roger

A lovely morning at one of Sydney's few dog friendly beaches. Lovely to spend quality time with Roger and Mack had a ball (quite literally!)

Lovely Spring morning on the beach

Lizzy, my friend from the park, and I took our respective "children" (Mack and Jem) for a run on Clontarf Beach.  Both Mack and Jem love water and chasing balls and there was plenty of that on offer so they were in heaven.  There were several other dog owners on the beach with a variety of different pooches (including a wonderful bulldog that was full of personality) so it was very social and also entertaining to watch them all frolicking together.  Jem is extremely fast and agile and sometimes lifts right off the ground while in full sprint so I had my camera out trying to capture that moment.

And this one Jo, is specially for you!  Sorry it's not quite up to the usual standard !
