Chatswood

Other than the city, Chatswood is the largest large shopping precinct close to me. It takes about 12 minutes to get to by train from Waverton. It has a wonderful Asian influence with lots of delicious Asian food to tempt you.  It is also a cultural hotspot with venues like The Concourse Chatswood, a major performing arts and entertainment complex that hosts concerts, plays, and community events.

Chatswood's name derives from the early 19th-century landowner Richard Harnett, who named it after his wife's maiden name, Charlotte, and the dense wooded area around it ("wood").

Chatswood blends its rich history with modern urban living, making it one of Sydney's most exciting suburbs to explore!  I am very lucky to have it so close by.

Chatswood

I pottered around Chatswood before heading to the new Spiderman movie which I loved.

Evening Walk: Chatswood Circular via Fullers Bridge ending at Bavarian Bier Cafe

A nice 7 km walk with Meet Up through the nature reserves of Chatswood and Lane Cove.

The highlight was doing the last 10 mins through the bush in the dark with spider webs everywhere. Thank goodness I took my powerful head torch!

We ended at the Bavarian Bier Cafe where I forsook my usual tasty fare of Pork Belly and Weissbeer for a salad and a lemon, lime and bitters.  God, my health craze is killing me I!!

Amazing how the colours changed in a period of just 5 minutes.
