A wonderful beach that is behind a closed gate, making it appear private so not many people go there. Antony took a couple of hours off work and joined us, which did him lots of good. The water was the perfect temperature for a lovely swim.

St James, Kalk Bay and Boulders Beach
It was a gorgous day so Chrisèl, Jo and I decided to do the walk from Muizenberg to St James, taking lots of photos along the way. St James looked as colourful as ever; it really is a photographers dream.
Then we met up with Antony and Matt and had a nice lunch at The Brass Bell, a restaurant in Kalk Bay right on the ocean's edge. After lunch, we explored Kalk Bay Harbour with its vibrant fishing boats and fishy smells.
Chrisèl and I then went on to Boulders Beach for snaps of penguins and I had a lovely swim.

Boulders Beach
Such a lovely day with mum, Jo and Matt on Boulder's Beach, one of my favourite childhood places. Matt and I had such a blast leaping into the water from a rock, and playing hide and seek amongst the boulders. It's never too late to have a happy childhood! Finally, mum treated us to a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant.

Boulders Beach (Cape Town)
I adore Boulders. This was my favourite beaches as a kid. I have vivid memories of sharing a blow up raft with Gramps here. In those days, there were no penguins. The penguins now add wonderful character to the beach. You never know when one will emerge from behind a rock.
