A fun morning exploring and photographing the Sub Base Platypus in North Sydney with the Photography Meetup. It is a former naval facility that served as a torpedo factory and submarine base for the Royal Australian Navy. Established in 1942, it was used for assembling and maintaining torpedoes during and after World War II. In 2005, the site was transferred to the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, which undertook significant remediation and redevelopment efforts to make it accessible to the public.
